Mobile Food Pantry

The Salvation Army secured a grant from Washington County, which enabled the purchase of refrigerated vans, essential materials, and staffing support.

In partnership with the Oregon Food Bank, the Salvation Army established a mobile pantry program. This collaboration allowed the use of Fresh Alliance food and dry goods provided by the Oregon Food Bank to help feed families in need.

The concept for the mobile pantry began years ago with a different agency that implemented pop-up pantries at low-income apartment complexes. It took years of planning and dedication by the Salvation Army to finally secure funding and bring this initiative to life—expanding it to serve rural areas in the community.
